Planning of projects and programs

As a result of the workshop, project teams will rethink the design, identify missing information, analyze risks, and create a schedule they will believe in. The result of the DESIGN WORKSHOPS is not only trained staff, but also project documents created as a result of joint work of participants. Step-by-step design workshops:

  • During the DESIGN WORKSHOPS, project managers receive a piece of knowledge relevant to the moment in the process they are in.
  • Then they are given tasks related to this knowledge, thanks to which they can immediately put it into practice. The tasks relate to the actual projects they implement.
  • Tasks may include: by analyzing the documentation, identifying and meeting with stakeholders, gaining additional knowledge, making arrangements with the sponsor, developing a project definition (project card) and schedule.
  • During the implementation of tasks, managers can use the support of TenStep consultants who will share good practices and suggest next steps.
  • The next steps are to prepare for the role of the project leader. Managers learn what to pay attention when working with a team while working with a client and with a sponsor, what methods to use to solve problems, what to do when the project gets into trouble, how to manage the team and its energy. All this in relation to real situations and real projects of your company.
  • At the end of the workshop, project managers realize that they not only planned the project, but also organized the knowledge of managing it, handling changes and working with stakeholders.
